The original Ultramodern5 was the most successful non-fantasy ruleset for 5th Edition. This revised sourcebook doubles the content of the original, with revised rules and brand new mechanics to customize any game.
Ultramodern5 Revised presents classes, gear, monsters, and scenarios that can be inserted into any campaign, including cyberpunk, espionage, modern warfare, mecha, space opera, steampunk, techno-fantasy, wild west and superhero. Create a pure science setting or insert any combination of rules into your own fantasy world.
The only limit is your imagination.

Neuroglyph Games: "Chris Dias has done a remarkable job in transforming 4E rules into something very useful to gamers looking to take a break from heroic fantasy – but still get to play a 4E style game! The rules are very innovative, as are the new mechanics for character design, and ...
Never before have I been so excited about being a GM. This rule set which is incredibly easy to follow has given me complete freedom in running any kind of campaign in any world imaginable. Ever wanted to make giant macros like mecha battle it out with giant sand worms look no further, this is the book for you. 10/10 would subject my players to all the weird ADHD driven ideas again. thanks Dias Ex Machina Games.
Roleplayers Chronicle (Todd Crapper): "Ultramodern4 is a magnificent accomplishment in alternative game design and I can’t help but feel it is superior to D&D, even if it is required to play this game. It achieves what D&D could not because it was not held down to a particular reference point – previous versions of D&D ...
RPGNow: "This is a company to watch as they are to 4th edition as pathfinder was to 3.5 so if you have not picked up or looked at 4th please give this companys books a look, who knows you might find something you never knew you missed."
Great book. Got it because a friend was running a post-apocalyptic setting with the previous version, so when I saw the update published I threw my money at it immediately. Some great improvements on the previous book, and I've still barely touched the entirely new sections, so money well spent. Also, the author has made two large updates since release correcting small errors and imbalances, as well as making available a fillable pdf...
My wife and I have been GMs for 30+ years. UM5 is fantastic for your Modern/Futures needs. This Redux edition is an outstanding overhaul of the original UM5. You can do so much with this set of rules, it's clean and very flexible.
GM: “The vorpal critical strikes you Uriel. You are reduced to zero hit points and are deflected 50 feet from the battle area.”
URIEL: “What…sorry, I couldn’t hear you. You know, with the c#$& in your mouth.”
MISHA: “Can I use my STR instead of Cha for Intimidate?”
MISHA: “I just lift stuff…I AM SOOO POWERFUL!!”
JONAS: “Oh my god, he bench pressed Jim!”
AIDEN: “Who’s Jim?”
EDWIN: “Jim could be a dragon…”
URIEL: “Or a real fat guy.”
URIEL: “Misha is just lifting things all day, fat guys, like Jim.”
MISHA: “Then my hands would smell like mayo all day.”
